According to Lefa at cyclingnsht.blogspot.com this photo was published in a book titled Idrotten i Finlad (1906) by Ivar Wilskman. Idrotten i Finlad translates to Sports in Finland. Kaisaniemi park is in Helsinki, Finland and H.V.K. stands for Helsingfors Velocipedklubb.

I really don’t have any other info besides what you see. I’ll assume the Games’ they are referring to was the 1908 London Olympic demonstration matches. If so, then this would be Ireland.

Thanks for posting this Doug.
I hate all the new rules being added all the time. Like I said before, when the rules of bike polo can no longer be written on a bar napkin, the game will no longer be fun. Just play the game, dont over legislate.

yeah that’s what I’m saying. It seems to me some of the people commenting on here and .ca and whatever it is they have in Europe are in the wrong sport. If they want a ton of rules that change the game, just go play on grass.

That makes me think of a conversation I had in which I commented on the fact that the guys that play hardcourt in my town could probably beat the pants off the kids that play grass..on grass. I was then quickly corrected with the response “They would just rule us to death”.
