Ed has been shooting bike related events in NYC for years. Here is his new promo card, it’s got a shot of me playing bike polo in The Pit, kind of like that. And that reminds me, photos are worth money. If a mag or paper asks you for a picture they want to print, [...]

So Gus was in New York this week playing some polo in The Pit. He was telling me about how he’s in school for photography and posting some of his favorite shots on his website gustavhoiland.com. Later I looked up his site and browsed the photos and descriptions he has posted. Some of them I [...]

Sara is a friend in New York and what seems like years and years ago she brought her old style film camera and made this short of us playing in The Pit. We all got to see her work at one of the first Bike Shorts. Still one of my favorites.
Laws of Motion from Sara [...]

This story about my MKE friends has been all over the web. I heard my friend Bike Snob even wrote about it. Anyway for some reason it reminds me of that movie The Legend of Billie Jean. Last night I listened to about 15 min of some 30+ min radio talk show that took callers [...]

Bench Minor
Bike polo tournament
March 20th – 21st, 2010

Finally, some real info about Adam’s Tournament. I talked with him tonight about this and the teams are strictly limited to five. But teams can have more than the 8-10 players as stated on the flier. It’s only a limit of how many players that can be [...]

By NYC standards we got dumped on Saturday night. About 10″ to a foot of snow in The Pit Sunday morning.
Thanks to the players who did the real work of getting that unwanted snow out of The Pit. The games were fun.
Ryan from FL was back in town for some icy games.
Thanks Birdseye for letting [...]

They are working on a flier with official name, dates and tournament structure info. Check back for all that soon. Till then here is a link to the Google document that is the rules. Look it over and leave feed back. Zack and Adam will see it here as they are not on League of Bike [...]

*cough cough*Those boys may be looking for sponsoships…wearing their brands proud.
Not me, I’m rockin’ a handmade hat that a messenger in Pittsburgh made and a polo lady traded me for a Swobo cap.
We had such a blast with you NYC and Troy Boys. We were operating on very, very little sleep that day so please excuse our sheepish behavior. We will return someday and we will be more on our game; well rested, trained and tapered, and ready to rock!
