Bontrager Race XXX Lite Limited Edition in Podium Version
May 31st
I spent part of the weekend in Boston with some friends from Trek Bicycles. Before I got back to NYC I was wearing some can’t-buy-em’ new shoes.
This post is a sort of thank you for the great time riding bikes and hanging out. But in case you’re looking for sub 200g per ½ pair road shoes, check out the road version.

Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic: NYC 2011

Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic
June 5th, 2011
Governors Island, New York
Last year this was the same weekend as ESPI5 so I missed it but I was at the first year and second. I highly recommended making it to this because watching polo in New York City is not very common. The 2008 event was the first in 70 years and there was only about 150 people there. The 2009 event was the second match and about 10,000 people were in attendance because of some prince from some other country was here playing. From what I heard last years event was about the same. That means get there early. Or just skip the crowds.

Here’s a quick little do-dad about The Pit. And I thought “Ace Bondage” is Johnny Midwest’s Rollerderby name. Two Ace Bondages in NY, really?

London Open
Bike Polo Tournament
July 30th – 31st, 2011
London, UK
From what I gather this is an old format 3vs3 style tournament, £30 per team, 3 courts, unlimited teams can enter, Swiss rounds then finishing with double elimination brackets. Great flier.
